C.O.R.N. is an acronym for Christian’s Outreaching Rural Nebraska.

C.O.R.N.The idea began with a small group of people who realized that many rural towns and counties in Nebraska had not heard the true Gospel preached in nearly 85 years, and decided to take a step of faith and try to reach the teens of these communities.

C.O.R.N. is headquartered in Aurora, Nebraksa.   Scott Peace, brings a Gospel message to rural teens through the teaching of the Ten Commandments. When people realize that they have failed God by not following His perfect law, and that they can’t be perfect enough to keep it without a Savior which is Jesus Christ, the response is overwhelming.

C.O.R.N. is formatted to appeal to the un-churched youth of a community and is not a ploy to try to steal people from churches. It is a vision given to a group of people who belong to the Kingdom of God that want to help other communities further the God’s Kingdom.

C.O.R.N. is advertised as a dodge-ball tournament, along with an inflatable boxing ring with a boxing tournament, and a four-man jousting tournament, with trophies for all three events. The evening also includes free pizza and soft drinks and usually starts around 6:00 p.m. and is over between 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. At the midway point of the evening the youth are brought together for the food and then the Gospel message is presented by Scott. The teens who respond to the message by trusting Christ as their Savior are given a Bible and one week’s worth of discipleship material. Follow up is left up to church leaders in the community and if they choose to, will be provided with one years worth of discipleship material written by Scott.

We ask for no financial support, but trust that if God wants C.O.R.N. to come to a community, He will provide a way. Our goal is to work together as a body of believers presenting the true Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world, and to strengthen and be strengthened by believers in other small communities across the state of Nebraska.
